As the name suggests, the T70 Historical Events Series depicts important events in history ranging from the Landing of the Pilgrims to the Surrender of General Lee during the Civil War. Issued in 1911, the set is complete at 25 cards. It is interesting to note that one card, the Signing of the Declaration of Independence, is an outstanding large, tri-fold card. This is card is particularly desirable due to the subject matter portrayed and is less frequently encountered than the traditionally sized cards in the set due to its size and more delicate nature.

This set occupies the top position on the SGC Set Registry with an average grade of 50.40 -- just a hair over VG-EX on average according to SGC's grading standards. The set contains one SGC 80, six SGC 60, twelve SGC 50, five SGC 40, and one SGC 20 (Signing of the Declaration of Independence).
