This lot features a panoramic photo taken at the November 1, 1935 dinner held in honor of Goose Goslin, the hero of the 1935 World Series in which the Detroit Tigers beat the Chicago Cubs in six games. It was in the final game that the Tigers rallied behind Goslin's game winning, two out RBI in the 9th inning to claim victory that day and in the series. The testimonial dinner as it was billed was held in Goslin's hometown of Salem, New Jersey and boasted Connie Mack as a guest speaker along with Ira Thomas. Mack can be seen in the back row of the photo. Also included in this lot is an admission ticket to the event. The photo comes in its original frame and measures 10 3/4" x 20 1/2".
