A rarely encountered candy issue, this 1921 Schapira Bros. Candy card of Babe Ruth presents an excellent opportunity to add an uncommon type-card to your collection. Part of a six card set, these cards were issued on the side of candy boxes and were part of a redemption offer for a Babe Ruth signed baseball. The redemption card, featuring a portrait of Babe Ruth, was produced in greater quantities than the action poses--such as this fielding Ruth. As a point of reference, a total of 77 cards from this set have been graded by PSA and SGC combined. Of these, 67 have been the Portrait version. This is the ONLY "Waiting For A High One" to have been graded by either grading service. EDIT: It has come to our attention that there is a copy of the "Waiting For A High One" card graded SGC 80 that is not reflected in the population report under the proper pose listing, likely because it was graded prior to SGC distinguishing poses and variations in their population report. We have seen a scan and verified the existence. Even with this additional information, this pose remains a tough one to obtain and is considerably dwarfed in population by the Portrait. We apologize for any inconvenience. SECOND EDIT: SGC has corrected the population report to reflect this new information.
