1944? Superman Sealed Pack

Unopened sealed pack of Superman cards with copyright date of 1944. small amount of the cellophane missing. The research I did on the pack was rather confusing. With that being said I am adding a link to a thread discussing this pack.

I checked photos of the Superman III game discussed and could not find evidence the pack came in the game.  So really not clear at this point when or where this pack was issued.
