A fantastic early baseball collectible, this lot is for a wonderfully framed and matted copy of the complete September 16, 1897 Leslie's Weekly Illustrated newspaper. This features the first appearance of Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie in a Major League uniform as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies. The newspaper displays in very good condition with minor wrinkling on the front consistent with handling by a reader during the time of issue.
