1977 The Black History Playing Card Deck Near Set w/Booklet: This set was first issued in 1977 by U.S. Games Systems, Inc. with a small booklet furnishing biographies of the persons depicted, a quotations cards of Martin Luther King, Jr. quotes, and a Joker card depicting African art.  Subjects include many historical figures from various endeavors, including Jackie Robinson, Jessie Owens, Duke Ellington, etc.  Missing only Muhammad Ali.

The proprietors of the arcade at Coney Island commissioned a variety of arcade cards of their own, starting with smaller black and white cards in the late 1940s then moving to the color cards shown here. A wide variety of movie-related subjects were made, some original like the ones offered here, and some that were pirated versions of Exhibit cards. The subjects of this grouping likely date to the 1960s and include icons of television and movie westerns. The TV folks include all four Cartwrights from “Bonanza” [Lorne Greene, Dan Blocker, Michael Landon and Pernell Roberts, who left the show in the mid-sixties], Brooklyn Dodger “The Rifleman” Chuck Connors, and James Arness and Amanda Blake of “Gunsmoke”. Movie western stars include Audie Murphy and the iconic duo of Steve McQueen and Yul Brynner from “The Magnificent Seven”. Crease free with light to no corner wear

1920s Noel & Cia. Movie Star Candy Wrappers (7)

These are from Argentina and were issued as wrappers for Noel brand chocolates.  They are extremely rare and delicate.  Stars include Dorothy Gish, Lilian Gish, Harold Lloyd, Harry Carey, Ben Turpin, Helen Ferguson, and John Gilbert.
