The set consists of 121 cards of diverse subjects. Current research indicates that the first series of these cards was issued in 1955 as 7/8” tall single cards with tabs of gum, while another series was issued in 1956 in perforated strips of 4 cards that are 1” tall. They both “develop” like the Magic Photos. The 1955 issue is rarer than the 1956, which is itself a rare issue. The two issues are readily differentiated by the number of subjects in the Sports Thrills series (20 in 1955; 15 in 1956). There are 2 boxers in the set: Rocky Marciano and Archie Moore [#121]. Offered here is a 1955 Moore card, graded 1.5 by PSA. It is the only example graded by PSA. Please note that while PSA has labeled it as 1956 it is in fact a 1955 card as proven by the back notation that it is #18 of 20 Sports Thrills.
