1915 Police Gazette Boxing Premiums and Cuts (46; pink stock): Richard K. Fox’s National Police Gazette [“a periodical of note” according to Bill the Butcher in The Gangs of New York] was best known for issuing full page images of athletes and celebrities. In 1915, the weekly issued its full page single images on page 13 and multi-subject images on the rear cover page 16. Athletes also occasionally graced the cover of the periodical with a handsome large image and ornate graphics. Offered here is a large collection of boxers including HOFers Jack Johnson, John L. Sullivan, Benny Leonard (2), Abe Attell, Jess Willard (3), Jeff Smith, Georges Carpentier, Les Darcy (4), Mike Gibbons, Jack Dillon, Ted Lewis, Willie Ritchie, Johnny Kilbane, Ad Wolgast, Sam McVey (2), plus many other boxers.
