This 96-card complete set of 'Sporting Events and Stars' was issued in 1935 by Pattreiouex with various brand of their cigarettes. The real photo cards feature athletes from numerous sports. The two key cards are golfer Bobby Jones and boxer Joe Louis, whose rookie card is included. Also in the set are Cinderella Man boxer Jimmy Braddock, golfers Alfred Perry, Lawson Little and Henry Cotton, cricket legend Don Bradman, race car legend Sir Malcolm Campbell, ice skater Sonja Henje, and horse racing legend Gordon Richards. Eight cards are SGC graded: 2 Don Bradman (SGC 70 EX+ 5.5), 8 King/Boxer (SGC 88 NM/MT 8), 10 Kid Berg boxer (HOF) (SGC 70 EX+ 5.5). 18 Perry tennis (SGC 82 EX/MT+ 6.5), 19 Bobby Jones golfer (SGC 30 Good 2), 39 Richards (SGC 50 VG/EX 4), 53 Jimmy Braddock (HOF; SGC 70 EX+ 5.5), 56 Joe Louis (HOF; SGC 45 VG+ 3.5). Grades 67% EX to NM with one nicer, the rest mostly VG to VG/EX with a handful lesser.
