Chicago White Sox, Ned Williamson--In 1894 the Reach Guide sought to identify the greatest baseball player ever. Eleven players, including future HOFer Jim O'Rourke, chose Williamson. Cap Anson, while managing a Chicago team that included King Kelly, called Williamson the greatest player he had ever seen. Although not a HOFer, he was certainly one of the 19th century's brightest stars. Nice strong clear image. Would grade much higher if not for evidence of album removal on back.
