E79 “27 Scrappers” is one of the most widely collected boxing caramel card sets. The set contains 21 cards with backs in red or black ink. The red backs are rarities. The best analysis to date is that the 27-series was made first with black inked backs, then reissued with red backs and 11 new cards to comprise the E80 series of 44 “scrappers”. As a result, the red backed cards are rarities. Offered here is an E79 red back card of HOFer and heavyweight champ Bob Fitzsimmons. SGC 20
